Sustainable, absorbant bamboo bathrobe

Bamboo bathrobe

Bamboo bathrobe

I heard about this Bamboo clothing on the radio the other week and have just found that they do dressing gowns too. It makes sense because these Bamboo bathrobes are anti-bacterial and 60% more absortbent than cotton.

They are also breathable and produced from sustainable materials. Silky soft, kimono style, with a tie waist, these lightweight robes are perfect for summer. If you are looking for something luxurious but ethical for mother’s day, this Bamboo bathrobes could be the answer.

The ultimate cosy dressing gown

I love this fabulous bit of dressing gown innovation from the USA.

The Slanket is a cross between a blanket, a fleece and a dressing gown and is perfect for lounging, lolling, relaxing and cosying up in.

Soft to the touch, lightweight and warm, it’s got large, loose sleeves so you can keep your arms and shoulders warm whilst keeping your hands above the blanket…

Features

  • Machine washable
  • 100% polyester microfibers
  • Non-pilling

Specification

  • Dimensions: Height: 233.0cm Width: 147.0cm Depth: 15.0cm
  • Weight: 2.3Kg
How have we managed for so long, without the Slanket?

One woman’s dressing gown love

Jen at Jen’s blog really loves her dressing gown.

It is so warm! So soft! So cosy! The colour’s not so crash hot (turquoise blue) but you don’t get much choice with women’s dressing gowns - at least it’s not pale pink or powder blue. But the cosiness-factor far outweighs anything else.

I disagree about the lack of choice, athough I guess a lot of women’s nightwear does seem to be pastel coloured, or have winnie the pooh on it. Nothing wrong with either of those, of course, but it is good to have some variety.

I’m intrigued by the fabric - velour and teddy bear fur. Definitely sounds like a cosy option.
